ISPH has been supplying design and engineering for dams and other essential equipment for Romania’s hydropower sector for 60 years, serving national hydropower enterprise Hidroelectrica. ISPH’s project portfolio includes 189 hydropower stations with a total installed capacity of 6,000 MW, 169 dams of all types, and 973 km of tunnels and galleries. The dynamic company has also developed expertise in a full range of customer-centred hydropower services, from preliminary consulting and surveying to construction, commissioning, initial operations, maintenance and project management.

Increasing supply through new water-resources infrastructure is one of ISPH’s priorities. The company excels in creating additional water storage, often behind newly built or enlarged dams, as well as groundwater development, pumping stations, transfer pipelines and more. ISPH also performs risk assessments and safety analyses for all types of water infrastructure, and its consultancy services include environmental-impact studies, energy-efficiency analyses and applied research.
Explaining ISPH’s strong track record, General Manager Gabriela Dimi says, “ISPH is known for its exceptional performance. We love what we do and we do our jobs with passion, which is why ISPH has achieved its success. Our company plays a key role in Romania’s hydropower development.” ISPH welcomes the chance to serve as a reliable, productive international partner for companies developing or operating energy projects.
