As a company specialised in manufacturing and research concerning high-quality agricultural products, Agrovet, is putting the emphasis on innovation and environmentally friendly practices. University Professor of Management of Natural Resources, Ecology and Applied Ecology and founder of Agrovet Group, Mihai Berca, explains: “Our current focus is on promoting bio-economic agriculture, which is the future of agriculture worldwide. We are researching the use of organic nitrogen as a fertiliser for our crops, since it’s not better only for plants, but it also has a smaller risk of pollution than typical chemical fertilisers”.
Agrovet exports around 30% of its production to markets in the EU and beyond, including Bulgaria, Austria, Ukraine, Greece and Germany. Professor Mihai Berca welcomes the chance to work with other EU partners, but in the same time he points out that “Agrovet doesn’t just sell products. We take a dynamic, innovative approach. We believe in mobilising creative energies for a shared goal, which is to create agricultural products in a natural way at low costs and with low environmental impact”.
He emphasises the importance of bio-economy for the future of the global economy. “Research should go in the direction of using the nature and its resources in a right manner, since everything we need could be found in nature. Researchers should be united in this synergy”, Professor Mihai Berca concludes.
